FIRSTĀ® Robotics World Championship

Binsfeld Engineering was proud to support the Traverse City Public Schools FIRST® Robotics Team, #1711—the Raptors—during State Championship competition in May. The Raptors advanced to the World Championship where they ended up making it to the semi-finals.  This group of students did a fabulous job in representing Traverse City Area Public Schools.

After winning their State Championship, the Traverse City Central High School’s Raptors Robotics Team became part of an alliance with team #1325 from Canada, team #3339 from Israel, and team #20 from New York and made it into the semi-finals at the World Championships! This group ended up taking the Carson Division Title.

Their mission statement is a wonderful testament to this team: “We strive to be a model FIRST® team and to expand our minds through 'coopertition', to expose science, technology, engineering and math to the younger generation, and help everyone in our community see that robotics is fun.”

Congratulations RAPTORS!

Binsfeld Engineering would also like to contratulate our very own Sean Wright, production technician, and proud father of Raptors team member Alex Wright.
